Ilya Sachkov is the founder and CEO at Group-IB. Ilya was born in Moscow in 1986, studied advanced Mathematics, Informatics, and Physics in high school. In 2009, he graduated with honors from the Department of Information Security, Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Since its foundation in 2003, Group-IB has become one of the leading international companies specializing in the prevention and investigation of high-tech cybercrimes and fraud (Gartner has included Group-IB in their report on Cyber Intelligence). Today Group-IB leverages its 12 years of expertise in cybercrime investigations to provide innovative solutions for business. Group-IB’s products or product-based services are actively used by more than 60 banks and financial institutions, energy companies, software and hardware vendors, oil and gas companies, telecommunications service providers and other clients. In 2011, Group-IB established the first 24/7 CERT in Eastern Europe, a division for rapid response to information security incidents. The CERT-GIB area of expertise includes combating the use of domain names for the purposes of phishing attacks, malware, and botnets in .RU, .РФ, .SU, .ТАТАР, .ДЕТИ domain zones. Ilya Sachkov is a member of various international associations, such as the International Information Systems Forensics Association (IISFA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and the Honeynet Project. He is also a member of the Council of Europe, the OSCE and the PIR Center EKS Working Group on International Information Security and Global Internet Governance since 2012. Ilya Sachkov has won a number of awards for his technological and entrepreneurial achievements. In 2010, he became the first Russian to win the Digital Crimes Consortium award for his contribution to international exchange of experience in the field of computer forensics. In 2015, he ranked among the most successful young Russian businessmen by the Secret of Firm Magazine and received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year National Award in the “Telecommunications” category and Special “Business Internet Choice” Prize
